18.3 Starting the AV output
Turn on your AV device and set it to AV-In. Read the user manual of your AV de-
vice for more information. After you have turned on the camera, no image is dis-
played on the monitor of the camera. Instead, the image will be reproduced on
your AV device. Operate your camera as usual.

If you would like to end the AV output, just remove the AV cable from the USB
socket of the camera, upon which the camera will turn off. To continue using the
camera, turn it back on.

19 Direct print
The camera DC-581 fulfils the Direct Print Standard which makes it possible to
print out photos directly from the camera without having to use a computer. This is
recommended especially for quick intermediate prints.

The printer that is used has to fulfil the Direct Print Standard and have a USB con-
nection. The operating manual of your printer can inform you about whether your
printer supports this standard.

19.2 Connecting to the printer
Lift the protective cap on the side of the device and plug the USB plug into the
USB socket . Connect your camera to your printer with the USB cable.

This setting makes it possible for you to print
individual photos or all photos. Connect your
