6.7 MAC Filter
The MAC filter screen allows you to configure the WAP7205 to give exclusive access to devices (Allow)
or exclude devices from accessing the WAP7205 (Deny). Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC
(Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of
hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02. You need to know the MAC address of the
devices to configure this screen.

To change your WAP7205’s MAC filter settings, click Network > Wireless LAN 2.4G or 5G > MAC Filter. The
screen appears as shown.

Security Mode
Select WPA2-PSK or WPA2 to add security on this wireless network. The wireless clients which
want to associate to this network must have same wireless security settings as this device. After
you select to use a security, additional options appears in this screen. See

any client to associate this network without authentication.
Note: If the WPS function is enabled (default), only No Security and WPA2-PSK are
available in this field.
Apply
Click Apply to save your changes back to the WAP7205.
Cancel
Click Cancel to reload the previous configuration for this screen.
