I just bought a nifty new pocket camera to go along with the almost-as-
nifty tiny camera that is part of my BlackBerry Bold 9700 and as com-
pany for the huge four-pound digital SLR camera that I carry when I’m
on a serious photo safari.

The new camera is marvelous, with specifications that are beyond
anything we could have imagined a few years ago. That’s the good
news. The not-so-good news: the camera did not come with an instruc-
tion manual. Instead it was delivered with a CD that included an elec-
tronic guide to its functions.

instructions and then I went out into the field to try out the camera and
promptly forgot the difference between the white, red, and green indica-
tor lights and whether two beeps meant the subject was in focus and
four beeps for a problem or was it the other way around?
