With  this  service  information  want  to  notify  you  about  a  firmware  update  for  our 
KeContact P20 wall boxes. The new firmware version and the installation manual is 
attached within the zip-file. This update contains some new features which might be 
of interest to you (please see releasenotes attached). It also contains a couple of bug 
fixes.  The  firmware  update  will  be  retrievable  from  the  download  section  at

In  particular  we  would  like  to  inform  you  about  a  certain  KeContact  P20  firmware 
behaviour in the current version, which needs to be corrected. 
 
Problem description: 
The wall box stops a charging session – the LEDs show 'red – blue – blue – red'. 
 
Cause: 
A  safety  monitoring  function  within  the  firmware  prematurely  stops  the  charging 
session, even though no actual safety issues have occurred. The reference values of 
the  safety  monitoring  function  are  too  restrictive  and  already  trip  within  normal 
electronics component value variances and tolerances. 
We want to emphasize that at no time this problematic function imposes any threat to 
users or electrical installations. 
 
The  firmware  update  changes  the  threshold  of  the  monitoring  function  so  that  the 
described problem can no longer occur.
