4. Before attaching the jack 3, set it to the
required height by turning the lug by
hand. Fit the jack arm at the front – or
rear – in such a way that the jack claw
(arrow in figure) goes around the vertical
ridge and engages in the recess in the
ridge. Ensure that the claw is properly
positioned.

The edge of the jack base must be
planted firmly and vertically in line with
the contact point.
Raise vehicle by turning crank handle.
If this is not the case, carefully lower the

vehicle immediately and reposition the
jack.
5. Unscrew the wheel bolts and wipe clean
with a cloth. Lightly grease the wheel
bolt taper. Make sure that the bolt
threads are not greased. Place the
wheel bolts where they will not become
dirty.
On some model variants, the wheel trim

is removed together with the wheel
bolts.
The retaining rings 3 at the wheel bolts
The retaining rings 3 at the wheel bolts
must not be removed.
