Inspect Heating System 
Regularly
Lack of regular inspections and inadequate 
maintenance could lead to equipment malfunction 
and result in asphyxiation, explosion or fi re.
(Always follow the appliance manufacturer’s 
recommended service instructions, when available.)
The following checklist is intended to be used 
as a minimum reference guide only and does 
not supersede or replace the heating appliance 
manufacturer’s recommended service and 
maintenance instructions or any code requirements.
Consult the installation and service instructions 
provided by the individual control or component 
manufacturer and carefully follow their directions.
Maintenance and testing may be required more 
frequently due to dusty or severe operating conditions.
If unusual or questionable performance is observed, 
shut the system down and contact your qualifi ed 
service agency immediately.
