SatFinder is a program that will help you when setting up your satellite dish 
to ensure that you get optimum reception.  
The stronger the satellite signal, the more likely it will be that picture and 
sound are received even in poor weather conditions.  

While your satellite dish is being aligned, the SatFinder can visually display 
the level, i.e. the strength of the signal received, on the screen and also 
provide you with this information acoustically via your computer speakers 
or by telephone at the place where your satellite dish is located.  

To be able to make full use of the SatFinder, the following requirements 
must be satisfied:

  PCTV Sat must be installed on your computer 

Œ

  If you want to make use of the facility of a telephone connection while 

your satellite dish is being aligned, a modem that supports speech (wave 
modem) must be connected to your computer (analogue or ISDN) 

Note: The standard Windows modem drivers do not support speech. If 
necessary, you may have to download the appropriate modem 
manufacturer's driver from the Internet and install it on your system.

  Your satellite system must be installed

  The satellite dish should already be roughly aligned  

(e.g. for Astra: 19.2° east).
