Performing Automatic Image 
Enhancement

The Perform Automatic Image Enhancement (AIE) Network Agent type allows you to 
automatically enhance color and grayscale TIFF, JPEG, or BMP images. 

Image enhancements are performed in the following order:

•

sharpen

•

color balance

•

saturation

•

exposure

•

contrast

To add a Network Agent at the FreeFlow system for performing AIE, complete the following 
steps:

1.

If necessary, define a directory (incoming folder) in which you want the images stored. Use 
File Manager to create an incoming folder on the FreeFlow system local hard drive.

For example, create the directory E:\FreeFlow\aie_incoming in which to store image files.

Note

Remember the location and name of this directory. The directory name is case-sensitive.

Note

Network Agent will not process files if the input and output folder for Network Agent are set 
to the same folder.

Open Network Agent.

3.

Select [Add].

4.

From the Network Agent Type drop-down list, select [Perform Automatic Image 
Enhancement].
