Release Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 8.6MR1

Limitations and Restrictions
Migrations
If you have a Release 8.0 system with Cisco WebEx scheduling, MeetingPlace-driven User
Management, and SSO integration, then after a migration, your Release 8.6 system will not support
custom session types. If you attempt to use custom session types after migration, then non-default
configurations will reset.
Cisco WebEx Node for MCS Limitations
Cisco WebEx Node for MCS has the following limitations when used with WebEx-scheduling
deployments and is therefore not recommended for WebEx-scheduling deployments:
  •
The following WebEx features are not supported when an internal meeting is launched from Cisco
WebEx Node:
  –
High-quality WebEx video
  –
Recordings on-premise
  –
WebEx video file streaming
  •
Cisco WebEx Node for MCS does not support any HTTP or SOCKS proxy servers.  Allow direct
access to WebEx Site IPs directly through firewall settings.
  •
Cisco WebEx Node for MCS is currently not supported with the WebEx Global Site Backup system.
If you want a fully redundant option with GSB, submit a new Cisco WebEx Node request to WebEx
Provisioning to deploy a redundant node that is ‘homed’ to the GSB data center instead of the
primary.  You must deploy an MCS or UCS with the Cisco WebEx Node for MCS software for this
function in your network.
Recording Limitations
If your system is configured for WebEx-scheduling, the system does not support the starting of a
recording from the phone.
TLS/SRTP Limitations
If your system is configured for secure conferencing (TLS/SRTP), there is a maximum audio port
limitation of 249 ports per system.
For further details, see the System Requirements for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 8.6 at
.
Localization Limitations
Customers who migrate from a system with MeetingPlace-driven user management to WebEx-driven
user management have the following limitations.
  •
User profiles with UK or Australian English language settings are mapped to US English language
settings. These users will hear US English audio prompts.
  •
User profiles with French-Canadian language settings are mapped to French (France) language
settings. These users will hear French (France) audio prompts.
