In Cisco IOS Release 12.2(50)SE1 and earlier, the Catalyst 3750-E and 3560-E switches support only 
the universal software images.

In Cisco IOS Release 12.2(50)SE2 or later, the Catalyst 3750-E and 3560-E switches support the 
universal and IP base software images. 

If your switch is running the universal software image, all the sections in the “Software Activation” 
section apply.

If your switch is running the IP base image, only the “Displaying Software License Information” in 
the “Software Activation” section applies.
