Overview of SSG
Service Selection Gateway (SSG) is a switching solution for service providers who offer intranet,
extranet, and Internet connections to subscribers using broadband access technology such as xDSL,
cable modems, or wireless to allow simultaneous access to network services.

SSG L2TP Dial-Out
The SSG L2TP Dial-Out feature provides mobile users with a way to securely connect to their SOHOs
through the PSTN.
To provide SSG L2TP Dial-Out, SSG requires a digital number identification service (DNIS) number for
the SOHO to which the user wants to connect, the address of the L2TP Access Concentrator (LAC)
closest to the SOHO, and configured tunnel parameters to establish a tunnel to the LAC.
