The CLI provides a mechanism for testing network connectivity with and configuration of DHCP servers. This 
functionality can be extremely useful in determining the accuracy of the system‘s DHCP configuration and 
troubleshooting the server‘s response time. 

This tool provides a mechanism from getting an IP address for one or more DHCP servers that the system is configured 
to communicate with. In addition, the tool provides a mechanism for releasing the address back to the DHCP server. 

  This tool must be executed from the context in which the DHCP server(s) are configured. 

To execute the DHCP test tool enter the following command: 

 

 

 

Name of DHCP service from which to lease an IP address.

 

 

Test all DHCP servers in this DHCP service.

 

 

Followed by IP address of server under test.
