Adding Process and Global Variables
Creating a Global Variable
Global variables span processes. All processes can reference or update them. Process Orchestrator often
stores data such as performance thresholds in global variables so that customers can edit them easily
without modifying process definitions, and automation packs can then update processes without
affecting customer settings.

The Definitions > Global Variables view displays all the defined global variables in the console.

Definitions—Global Variables
To create a global variable:
Step 1
Choose Definitions > Global Variables, right-click and choose one of the global variables types.
The New [Name] Variable Wizard launches.
Step 2
Click the General tab and enter the general information about the variable.

Step 3
On the Variable Value panel, enter the appropriate value for that variable type, then click Next.
