PORTAMENTO
Determines the amount of time it takes for the pitch to glide from the current note to the next note
played.
PORTAMENTO is a significant feature of KEY MODE (see paragraph above); the two are closely related.
BEND UP
Determines the interval of the bend when the Pitch Bender is moved upwards to the full extent of its
range. Control range: -64 semitones to +63 semitones.
BEND DOWN
Determines the interval of the bend when the Pitch Bender is moved downwards to the full extent of its
range. Control range: -64 semitones to +63 semitones.
BEND SCALE
Determines the shape of the curve which in turn determines the effect of the Pitch Bend data. You can
chose from:
LIN
Starting from the 0 value, (center position) the pitch bend is linear.  In other words, when you
bend the pitch  up to exactly half the distance of the pitch bend’s full range, the interval you
hear is equivalent to  exactly half of the value you set for BEND UP (see paragraph above).
EXP
Starting from the 0 value (center position) the pitch bend is exponential - at first the bend is
gradual and as  you move further away from the center position, the pitch is bent ever more
radically. In this mode you can  achieve slight fluctuations in pitch, for instance a manual
vibrato, provided you can maintain a soft touch,  yet still have the option of generating greater
intervals because of the exponential increase in range.
CLOCK TEMPO
The Virus is equipped with a dedicated clock generator which can trigger the LFOs, control the
arpeggiator and set the delay to a - in musical terms - practical, sensible value. It enables you to create a
common rhythmic structure for these elements and ensure the follow the main clock in unison.
