You can also synchronize the clock generator to the MIDI CLOCK of an external sequencer. The tempo
of the clock generator is set globally via CLOCK TEMPO in beats per minute. You have an available
control range of 62 to 190 BPM (beats per minute). You can set the rhythmic resolution of the clock
generator - in other words, the notes, individually for each involved function (ARPEGGIATOR CLOCK,
LFO 1 CLOCK, LFO 2 CLOCK, DELAY CLOCK, refer to the respective sections).
You can set a tempo outside the normal 62-190 BPM range by determining a rhythmic
resolution other than 1/1.
In SINGLE MODE, CLOCK TEMPO pertains to the current SINGLE PROGRAM and is stored along with it.
In MULTI MODE, the CLOCK TEMPO settings for the involved SINGLE PROGRAMs are ignored. Instead,
all involved SINGLE PROGRAMs are controlled via the same clock generator. Its  CLOCK TEMPO is
saved in the MULTI PROGRAM. This feature lets you control the LFOs and arpeggiators of several MULTI
PARTS in a common rhythmic context.
If you activate the MIDI CLOCK in a connected sequencer and send it to the Virus, the Virus clock
generator is AUTOMATICALLY synchronized to the incoming MIDI CLOCK; the internal CLOCK TEMPO
setting is ignored. When the Virus no longer receives external MIDI CLOCK information, the internal
CLOCK TEMPO setting is automatically activated.
To avoid confusion, please keep in mind that MIDI Clock is not the same thing as MIDI Time
Code. The latter doesn't deal with tempo at all but with time-related  information structured in
hours, minutes, seconds, etc. which is of no benefit to you in this context. A lower-case "c" will
appear in the display when the Virus is receiving MIDI Clock data.
ARPEGGIATOR
ARPEGGIATOR CLOCK
The arpeggiator plays the notes in intervals determined by the clock setting (in note values). The note
value represents a fraction of a 4/4 beat. The actual tempo is determined by the global clock generator.
You can set the tempo via CLOCK TEMPO (refer to this section). The clock generator can also be
synchronized to external MIDI clock.
ARPEGGIATOR MODE
Selects the Arpeggiator mode. You can chose from:
OFF
Self-explanatory. The Arpeggiator is inactive.
UP
Sustained notes are arpeggiated in an ascending manner.
DOWN
Sustained notes are arpeggiated in descending manner.
UP & DOWN
Sustained notes are arpeggiated alternately in an ascending and descending manner.
