5.  Maintaining the CP 
CP maintenance includes: 
 
Testing the CP 
 
Software updates 
 
Communications maintenance 
 
Backup battery replacement 
5.1.  Testing the CP 
Test the CP at least once a week. 
To test the CP: 
1.  Turn the power switch OFF. 
2.  Wait 20 seconds. 
3.  Turn the power switch ON.  
4.  Wait 20 seconds and check that: 
 
The Power LED is green. 
 
The Communication LED is red. 
If both LEDs do not display properly, contact your service provider. 
5.  Turn the power switch OFF. 
6.  Wait 20 seconds. 
7.  Remove the back cover. 
8.  Unplug the power adapter connector from the CP power socket. 
9.  Turn the power switch ON.  
10.  Wait 20 seconds and check that: 
 
The Power LED is green. 
 
The Communication LED is red. 
If both LEDs do not display properly, contact your service provider. 
11.  Plug-in the power adapter connector into the CP power socket. 
12.  Replace the back cover.
