To Conduct a Credit/Debit Card Transaction

Position a magnetic card with the stripe facing down and inward, toward the 
keypad.

Swipe it through the magnetic card reader (see

Using the Magnetic Card Reader
CAUTION
Leave the smart card in the card reader until the transaction is completed. 
Premature removal invalidates the transaction.
