Before transmitting, monitor your selected op-
erating frequency to make sure transmitting
won’t cause interference to other stations on
the same frequency. It’s good Amateur practice
to listen first, and then, even if nothing is heard,
ask “is the frequency in use” once or twice, be-
fore you begin operating on that frequency.

Dial lock function
The dial lock function prevents accidental changes
caused by the tuning dial.

➥ Push [LOCK] to turn the dial lock function ON and
OFF.

rRotate the main dial to select the desired maximum

• Maximum output power is selectable “0.5,” “1,” “2.5,” “5”
or “10.”
• Default setting is “10.”
