Your radio usually scans for FM stations with signals strong enough for good reception. However, you can set

the automatic scan to also find weaker signals, e.g. from more distant stations. Your radio has a local/distant

option for the automatic station scan.
(1)  Push the ON/OFF button to switch on the radio.
(2)  If necessary, push the BAND button to choose a FM frequency band.
(4)  Push the INFO button until the bottom line shows „Mono Override“.
(4)  Push the TUNING buttons until the display shows „FM Scan Zone“ and then push the SELECT button to call

the search zone menu.

(5)  Use the TUNING buttons to choose between the options Local and Distant. The Distant option enables the

radio to find weaker signals during scanning.

(6)  Push the SELECT button to confirm your selection. The radio will then return to the regular display mode.

This option is stored in the radio and will not be changed automatically except during a system reset.

 The standard setting (at delivery or after a system reset) ignores weak signals (distant).
