n) Inside and outside dew point

• The dew point is the saturation point of the air or the temperature, to which the air is

cooled down in order to condense.

• Again press the Temp button (3) to display the inside and outside dew point. The

"DEW POINT" symbol appears.

o) Wind chill

• The wind chill is the noticeable temperature on exposed skin due to the combination

of air temperature and wind speed. The display of the wind chill on the monitor is

calculated , while the temperature and average wind speed are measured by the

external sensor (channel 1).

• Press the Channel/+/Search button (12), to display the outside temperature and

humidity via channel 1. Then repeatedly press the Temp button (3) to display the wind

chill on the screen.

• The “WIND CHILL” symbol appears.

p) Lightning measurement

• The lightning sensor is located inside the transmission device. It recognizes earth

discharges as well as discharge between the clouds. When lightning strikes a

powerful current flows out and produces an electromagnetic field. The lightning

sensor receives and processes the signal which is emitted from this field, and

estimates the distance to the edge of lightning activity.

• The human senses can notice the thunder after a strike at a distance of 10 km max.

This is already too late for a warning. The lightning sensor can alert the user if the

peak of the storm is at a distance of 30 km and ensures enough time to get to safety.

• PLEASE NOTE: The recognition sensitivity and the estimated distance

are affected if the external sensor is located near electromagnetic

radiation sources such as a pylon and electrical devices. Therefore

attach the external sensor further away from these sources if possible.
