Before taking your camera to the repair shop, check the following table for a 
possible solution to the problem.

No power.

The battery 
pack is dead.

Recharge the 
battery pack.

The battery 
pack has not 
been inserted 
correctly.

Reinsert the 
battery pack, 
making sure to 
orient it 
correctly.

The battery/
card 
compartment 
cover is not 
completely 
closed.

Close the 
battery/card 
compartment 
cover 
completely.

The camera 
turns off by 
itself.

The power 
save function 
is operating.

Not a 
malfunction.

An image is 
not captured 
when the 
shutter button 
is pressed.

The power is 
not turned on.

If the auto 
power off 
function was 
activated, turn 
the camera on 
before 
shooting.
If the camera 
was turned off, 
press the ON/
OFF button to 
turn it on.
