Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol Commands

• vrid — Virtual router identification. (Range: 1-255)

The default configuration is disabled.

Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode.

The VRRP IP address is not pingable from within the switch.

Use the vrrp authentication command in Interface Configuration mode to 

set the authentication details value for the virtual router configured on a 

specified interface. Use the no form of the command to return the 

authentication type to the default value.

 {none | simple key}

None is the default configuration.

group

The virtual router identifier. (Range: 1-255)

none

Indicates authentication type is none.

simple

Authentication type is a simple text password.

key

The key for simple authentication. (Range: String values)
