Configuration and Image File Commands
boot system
Use the boot system command in Privileged EXEC mode to specify the
system image that the device loads at startup.
Syntax
boot system [unit-id][image1|image2][active|backup]
Parameter Description
The image1 and image2 keywords are deprecated on the PC81xx only.
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Privileged EXEC mode

Parameter
Description
image1
Marks the given image as active for subsequent reboots.
image2
Marks the given image as active for subsequent reboots.
unit
Unit to be used for this operation. If absent, command executes
on this node.
active
Boot from the currently active image. (PC81xx only)
backup
Boot from the backup image. (PC81xx only)
