DHCP Snooping Commands

The database is stored locally by default.

Global Configuration mode.

There are no user guidelines for this command.

The following example configures the storage location of the snooping 

database as local.

console(config)#ip dhcp snooping database local

The following example configures the storage location of the snooping 

database as remote.

console(config)#ip dhcp snooping database tftp://10.131.11.1/db.txt

Use the ip dhcp snooping database write-delay command to configure the 

interval in seconds at which the DHCP Snooping database will be stored in 

persistent storage. Use the “no” form of this command to reset the write delay 

to the default.

ip dhcp snooping database write-delay 

seconds

hostIP

The IP address of the remote host.

filename

The name of the file for the database on the remote host. The 

filename may contain any printable character and is checked 

only when attempting to open the file.
