To illustrate static routing as supported by the 5100/6100 VDR, Figure 4-4 on page 121 shows 
two networks and a connection to the Internet. From this diagram several static routes are 
possible:
from the 5100/6100 to Router ABC 
to the network behind Router ABC
to remote servers across the Internet
from the 5100/6100 VDR to the remote servers through specific routers

You can use static routes to route packets to a specific router that hides a network from the 5100/
6100 VDR. In Figure 4-4, the 5100/6100 VDR with IP address 206.184.223.254 routes traffic for 
Network A (206.184.223.0). Router ABC also resides within the 206.184.223.0 network, but 
behind Router ABC lies another network (Network B). The PC hosts on Network B are unknown 
to the 5100/6100 VDR unless either a static route is added at the 5100/6100 VDR or RIP is 
6100 VDR
