Scroll through the result pages.

Insert an errored bit or a specific error ratio in the
transmitted pattern

Reset the counters
The three pages show the following results for each call:
The first line indicates the status of the test.
►
Bit Error Rate (BER)
►
Received bits
►
Errored bits transmitted
►
Errored bits received
►
Receiver synchronisation on the received sequence
►
Number of elapsed seconds with receiver out of synchronism
►
PASS/FAIL test result according to the configured setting
►
G.821 data: SES (severely errored seconds), DM (degraded minutes), ES
(errored seconds), US (unavailable seconds) in absolute value and
percentage. According to G.821 recommendation
The two threshold acceptability measures (PASS/FAIL), report the FAIL (NOK) value
if the errored bits received ratio exceeds the threshold indicated in the test setup or if
the G.821 parameters exceed the values provided by the recommendation. In case
the Test Pass/Fail is set with G.821, both results will be identical.
If the instrument detects a remote loop, the second results page will display the round
trip delay value in milliseconds.
3.12. Acting as Loop Box
Use the ACT AS LOOP BOX function to loop more B channels on the incoming calls
at the same time (for ISDN) or to manage a Loop of test ATM OAM cells incoming
from network (for ATM). You can also perform a compatibility check at the incoming
call. A compatible call will be accepted. An incompatible call will be disconnected and
a cause message is sent back.
By default the loop box runs automatically in the background. The activation of the
loop box function enables automatic answering without pickup.
