B channels 
The user can decide which test sequences to perform. It is possible to decide if 
performing a complete check test, choosing “Automatic” in the setup page, or 
performing a specific check test, depending by the User’s needs. 
 
If it is chosen: “L2: Point to Point” and / or “L3: User”, the relative 
values must be programmed before in the COMMON SETUP 
page   
Once own test sequence is configured, the user can name the test and save it in 
order to recall it for future use. See Chapter 4 for further information. 
 
If this automatic test reports problems, e.g. unavailable services 
or profiles, it’s recommended to perform a specific manual tests.

2.3.1.  Setting up an automatic access test 
Define the following parameters for an automatic test: 
Called number:  Enter the phone number of the called party.   
•  Remote number for calls to a remote user. 
•  Local number for autocalls and verification of the local access.  
 
To obtain automatically a complete indication on the access 
configuration, enter the number of the tested access as 
“CALLED NUMBER”. Otherwise not all tests may be performed. 
 
In order to test the DDI/MSN service, is needed to setup the 
‘Called Number’ field with one of the secondary numbers of the 
tested access. 
Intercalls pause: Enter the number of seconds for the pause between two calls. 
Some exchanges require a pause ranging from 2 to 8 seconds.  
L1: Choose YES to enable automatic test of the layer 1. 
L2: Select AUTOMATIC to enable automatic test of the layer 2 configuration (PP, 
PMP), or choose the configuration that you need
