USER’S MANUAL
                                          ISDN TESTER AND ANALYZER D2001
NX

Protocol: Choose your local ISDN protocol.

Set the “LEASED LINE” value to perform tests without signalling
protocol over the D channel., i.e. Unframed BER. Use the
“OTHER” parameter to capture signalling protocols not directly
supported by the instrument in Monitor mode (see Chapter 7).
Protocol type: Select the protocol operating mode between Master and Slave. After
you have selected the operating mode of the instrument (i.e. TE or NT) the “Protocol
type” field is automatically set with the typical value for normal operation.

This parameter should be changed only in case of special use of
the instrument.
CDN(type/plan):  Set the Type of Number and the Called Party Numbering Plan.
CGN(type/plan):  Set the Type of Number and the Calling Party Numbering Plan.
Add 100
Ω termination: Choose if you want to add a 100 Ω termination. You can
use this option if the line at this point is not terminated correctly. The default value is
NO. BRI-S only.
Power from line: To enable powering the D2001 from the ISDN line.
Bus S emerg. power: To enable the operation of the D2001 in S-bus emergency
conditions. BRI-S only.
Vmin threshold:  Set the minimum voltage value under which the instrument resets
its line interface. Use the 28 V (ETR080) default value when no other value is
preferred. NT1-U only.
Call accept: Select the incoming calls that will be automatically answered by the
instrument with the loopbox function. The function can be deactivated by setting the
None value. See § 3.8.
3.3.2. POTS access
The following parameters can be defined for the POTS access:
Selection mode: select the dialing mode for the telephone number between tone
(DTMF) and pulse (decade) 40/60 or 33/66.
Termination: Select the line impedance value.
The instrument supports four impedance models: 600
Ω resistive, CTR21 standard,
complex impedance (Belgium), complex impedance (Germany, Spain).
