3.10. S/T-BUS wiring test (WT2001 option) 
Use a wiring test to verify the correct installation of the S/T bus. The test will identify 
polarity inversions or short circuits between the bus pairs. 
The test must be performed when the ISDN connection is not active. The WT2001 
option is required to perform the test. The option consists in two adapters, a Master 
(WT2001M) and a Slave (WT2001S) adapter. Connect the WT2001M to the D2001 
to the auxiliary connector via cable AUX. Connect the WT2001M to the tested bus 
and close the other end of the bus with the WT2001S. Disconnect the NT and the 
bus TE’s, if present. 
 
To ensure proper verification, make sure you have disconnected 
the TE and the NT1 network termination from the S/T BUS. 
3.10.1. Setting up an S/T BUS wiring test 
No parameters need to be defined to perform a wiring test. 
3.10.2. Running an S/T BUS wiring test 
When you have defined the setup for the wiring test, continue as follows: 
 
Connect the instrument as displayed and press the RIGHT 
CURSOR key.
