■ Programming a DTMF code
DTMF codes are used for autopatching, accessing repeaters,
controlling other equipment, etc. The transceiver has 14
DTMF memory channels (d0– d9, dA–dd) for storage of often-
used DTMF codes of up to 16 digits.
NOTE: DTMF memory channels are commonly used for
both bands. Therefore, programming each band is not
necessary.
Push 
for one sec. and “d” appears in place of the
100 MHz digit as shown below.
Push [SET] to enter the programming condition.
Rotate the tuning dial to select the desired channel.
Push [SET] or [MONI] to select the cursor.
Rotate the dial to select a digit.
• “E” stands for “M” and “F” stands for “#.”
Repeat steps 
➃ and ➄ until the last digit is entered.
• The S/RF indicator shows the digit group. The indication in-
creases every 6 digits.
• Select “–” to clear the remaining digits when programming over a
previously used memory channel.
Push [V/MHz] exit the programming condition.

ON.
Push [SET] to enter the programming condition.
Rotate the tuning dial to select the desired channel.
Push [SET] to activate the 1st digit.
Rotate the tuning dial to select “–” and clear the memory
channel contents.
Push the tuning dial to exit the programming condition.
DTMF
“d” appears in place of 
the 100 MHz digit.
