Focusing and shooting functions
Simultaneous use of S-AF mode and MF mode (S-AF+MF)
This function allows you to fine-adjust the focus manually by turning the focus ring after AF is
performed in the S-AF mode. When the shutter button is not pressed, MF operation is available.
• You can fine-adjust the focus with the focus ring if you have pressed the shutter button
performed in the S-AF mode. When the shutter button is not pressed, MF operation is available.
• You can fine-adjust the focus with the focus ring if you have pressed the shutter button
halfway and AF is confirmed. You can also fine-adjust the focus with the focus ring when

Notes

Focus with the focus ring and press the shutter button halfway to activate C-AF mode.

The camera focuses using one selected AF target. This is
useful for accurately focusing on the subject after
composing the shot. With M, you can focus using a
range that is somewhat larger than one AF target, but you
can only set the range within the AF target. When
[SMALL] is selected for [AF SENSITIVITY], the setting
display changes to o.
