About the RAW File Import Plug-in
This plug-in is used to import the RAW data file (file extension is “.orf”) into
Adobe

®

 Photoshop 5.0 or higher version. You can display the image in the RAW

data format using Photoshop by installing the plug-in.
The plug-in is included in the software CD provided with the camera.

Mac OS 8.6 or higher version

• Photoshop 5.0 or higher (compatibility with earlier versions is not guaranteed.)
• 64MB RAM or more (128MB or more* is recommended.)
• 200MB or more hard disk space* is recommended.

* Required by Photoshop depending on conditions such as the size of the image data

Installation
1 QuickTime™ 4.0 or higher version is needed to run the software. If QuickTime

4.0 is not installed, install it by executing “QuickTimeinstaller.exe” in the
following folder on the CD-ROM (CAMEDIA Master):
• Windows

/CAMEDIA Master/QuickTimeEnglish/ or
/CAMEDIA Master/QuickTime/English*/

• Macintosh

inside the English* folder inside the QuickTime folder

* If the CAMEDIA Master software on the CD-ROM has only English version, only the

“English” folder is provided.

2 Quit Photoshop if running.

3 Open the plug-in/English folder on the CD-ROM, then copy the file

“orf2rgb.8ba” to the Photoshop “Plug-Ins” folder. By default the “Plug-Ins” folder
is located in the folder where Photoshop is installed.
(Can be copied by drag and drop.)

4 Start Photoshop.

5 Select “Import” from the File menu to find the “Olympus Raw File” entry in the

sub menu.
If the “Olympus Raw File” entry does not appear in the “Import” sub menu,
check the path to the “Plug-Ins” folder in the “Plug-Ins & Scratch Discs”
preference window and copy the file “orf2rgb.8ba” to the folder specified by the
path.

Read the instructions (pdf) in the “plug-in” folder on the CD-ROM regarding how to
use this software after installation.

Installation
1 QuickTime™ version 4.0 ou supérieure est nécessaire pour utiliser le logiciel. Si

QuickTime 4.0 n’est pas installé, l’installer en exécutant “QuickTimeinstaller.exe”
dans le dossier suivant du CD-ROM (CAMEDIA Master):
• Windows

/CAMEDIA Master/QuickTimeFrench/ ou
/CAMEDIA Master/QuickTime/French*/

• Macintosh

intérieur du dossier French* se trouvant dans le dossier QuickTime

* Si le logiciel CAMEDIA Master du CD-ROM ne comporte que la version anglaise, seul

le dossier “English” est fourni à la place.

2 Si Photoshop est lancé, le quitter.

3 Ouvrir le dossier Plug-in/French du CD-ROM, puis copier le fichier “orf2rgb.8ba”

dans le dossier “Plug-Ins” de Photoshop. Par défaut, le dossier “Plug-ins” se
trouve dans le dossier où Photoshop est installé.
(Peut être copié par glisser et déposer.)

4 Démarrer Photoshop.

5 Sélectionner “Importation” à partir du menu Fichier pour trouver l’élément

“Olympus Raw File” dans le sous-menu.
Si l’élément “Olympus Raw File” n’apparaît pas dans le sous-menu “Importation”,
contrôler le chemin jusqu’au dossier “Plug-Ins” dans la fenêtre “Modules externes
et disques de travail” et copier le fichier “orf2rgb.8ba” dans ce dossier.

Pour l’utilisation de ce logiciel après l’installation, lire les instructions
correspondantes (pdf) dans le dossier “Plug-in” du CD-ROM.
