Release Notes for Python PKG Package Firmware Version 2.5.2

Python is an add-on application providing Python language support to run 
applications written in Python. Python, as a programming language, is a highly 
readable language. It is designed to have an uncluttered visual layout, frequently 
using English keywords where other languages use punctuation. Python requires 
less boilerplate than traditional typed structured languages, such as C or Pascal, 
and has a smaller number of syntactic exceptions and special cases than either C 
or Pascal.

Some programs, such as SABnzbd+ depend on Python to run. Before running such 
programs in Smart Storage, you must install the Python PKG.

This procedure describes how to upgrade the firmware on the NSS 300 Series 
Smart Storage devices from the Network Attached Storage (NAS) interface.

As a precautionary measure, back up the NAS system configuration before 
upgrading the firmware.

Do not upgrade the firmware over a WAN or Wi-Fi link since an interuption in service 
can lead to corruption of the firmware upgrade process.

From the Administration > Firmware Upgrade window, you can view the current 
firmware version and update the firmware on the NAS. The current NAS settings 
will not change while performing the firmware version update.
