a different domain to the other XMPP servers. A single XMPP server can host multiple XMPP
domains. For example, both example.com and example.org can exist on the same Meeting

2.12.2 Example using split deployments and geo-distribution

Cisco Meeting Apps require a persistent connection to the XMPP server. If you have security
concerns, the XMPP server should be run on a Core server and a Load Balancer run on an Edge
server to provide the persistent connection to the clients. Figure 9 is a schematic of the single
split deployment with components rearranged for scalability and resilience: the XMPP server
moved to the Core server with the Load Balancer on the Edge server.
