Enable SNMP
SNMP is not enabled in Cisco Unified Communications Manager by default. You must enable it using the following
steps:
Step 1. Log in to the Cisco Unified Serviceability view by choosing this option in the top-right pull-down menu of
the Cisco Unified Communications Manager web GUI.
Step 2. From the main menu in the Cisco Unified Serviceability view, navigate to SNMP > v1/v2c > community
string. Then select a server and click Find (Figure 13).

Step 3. If the community string is already defined, you will see the result with the link on the community string as
shown in Figure 14.

Step 4. If there are no results, you need to add a new string by clicking the Add New button toward the bottom of
the screen. Fill in the necessary SNMP-related information as shown in Figure 15 and save the
configurations.
