Step 3
The following figure shows the Packet Capture process running.
To stop a running capture, click Stop Capture. A running capture that has previously been started is 
preserved between sessions.
Note
The GUI only displays packet captures started in the GUI, not from the command line prompt using the 
packetcapture > start command. Similarly, the command line only displays the status of a current 
packet capture run started from the command line prompt using the packetcapture > start command. 
Only one capture may be running at a time.
Editing Packet Capture Settings
There are two ways to edit packet capture settings:

Editing a Packet Capture Settings from the Command Line Prompt
To edit the packet capture settings in the CLI, run the packetcapture > setup command from the 
command line prompt.
Editing Packet Capture Settings from the GUI
Procedure
Step 1
On the Security Management appliance, choose Help and Support > Packet Capture.
Step 2
Select Edit Settings.
