Create a MS SQL Server backup of the production HDS database.

Restore the MS SQL Server backup onto the new HDS using the MS SQL 
backup/restore process.

Export the appropriate ICM file/folders tree from the production HDS.

Import the icr file/folders tree onto the new HDS.

Ensure custom templates, saved reports, and databases are restored:

icr\instancename\aw\custom for custom templates

icr\instancename\dis\web\userdata for saved reports

Export the icr 4.6.2 registry key tree from the production HDS.

Import the icr 4.6.2 registry key tree onto the new HDS.

Run ICM setup.exe on the new HDS (from the media, not from local setup).

Edit the HDS component, making any necessary changes based on the new 
environment.

While you can use the DNS style domain name (i.e., name.com, 
name.net) for Active Directory, ICM only supports a NetBIOS name (i.e., 
name).

Exit, then re-run setup.exe.

Run Upgrade All.

HDS upgrade is complete.
