R2 Standard x64 Edition operating system are eligible for a software-only pay for OS
upgrade to the Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition
operating system.

For remote office deployments of X1000 G2, Hosted Branch Cache can improve
application responsiveness for remote workers and reduce WAN traffic allowing a
lower cost link to be used between remote and central office locations.

The Hosted Branch Cache capability is only available on the WSS2008 R2 Enterprise
Edition Operating System

NOTE:

NOTE: When upgrading an X1000G2 with this sku, it will change the operating
system from WSS2008 R2 Standard Edition to WSS2008 R2 Enterprise Edition. After
the upgrade is complete, the system will operate similar to an X3000 G2 Network
Storage System. Additionally, after the upgrade, Automated Storage Manager (ASM)
WILL NO LONGER be installed on the system and IS NOT supported on the
upgraded system.

This upgrade requires a clean install and contains all X1000 G2 Network Storage
System features, including Microsoft iSCSI Software Target and HP X1000 Automated
Storage Manager Software.

* A minimum of two OS drives that are the same type and capacity (146GB minimum)
must be present in the system before installation.

NOTE:

NOTE: Some expansion cards, including HBAs and NICs, may not be supported by
Windows Storage Server 2008 R2. Check Windows Server 2008 R2 driver availability
before purchase and installation.
