Troubleshooting the Polycom VVX 
1500 D Phone
This chapter contains general troubleshooting information to help you solve 
any problems you might encounter when you use the Polycom VVX 1500 D 
phone in an H.323 environment. The phone can provide feedback in the form 
of on-screen error messages, status indicators, and log files for troubleshooting 
issues. 
For detailed information on error messages, log files, testing the phone 
hardware and phone issues—along with likely causes and corrective actions— 
refer to the “Troubleshooting” chapter of the latest SIP Administrator’s Guide.
This chapter presents phone issues, likely causes, and corrective actions for the 
Polycom VVX 1500 D phone in an H.323 environment. Issues are grouped as 
follows:

Review the latest Release Notes for the SIP application for known problems and 
possible workarounds.

selects which audio/video codecs 
to transmit based on the far-end 
endpoint’s order of codecs in 
their supported list.
