Automatic Compression Release (ACR)
The FLHTCUSE3 is equipped with an Automatic Compression
Release (ACR). During starting, a small auxiliary valve in the
cylinder head is opened automatically by the ECM. The open
valve releases the air compressed in the cylinder heads and
allows the starter motor to turn the high compression engine
over at a faster rate to aid starting.
