7.7 Replacing the batteries
Swim Alert™ gives a low-battery alert by:
1 short, low-pitched beep every minute,
4 short, low-pitched beeps every time the magnet is moved over the swimmer symbol.
In this case, the 4 C alkaline batteries must be replaced with new batteries of the same type. The use-by dates are
given on the alkaline batteries. Be responsible, and take the old batteries back to your retailer instead of throwing
them away
.
We advise you not to change the batteries at the start of the season.
When replacing the batteries, please follow the indications below:

Switch Swim Alert™ to OFF mode (see §7.6 above).

Carefully remove the 4 caps using a flat screwdriver.

Unscrew and remove the screw on the rigid angled tube. Separate it from the device by pushing it by 1 to 2 in

Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the cover.

Remove the used batteries.

Insert the new batteries in the appropriate housing, making sure the polarity is respected (Pict. 28)

You will hear a validation sound signal (15 short, high-pitched beeps). Swim Alert™ is in OFF mode.

Replace the cover, and tighten the 4 screws again.

Reposition the rigid angled tube and replace the screw on top of the tube (Pict. 29).

The protective caps must imperatively be replaced on the cover.
Perform fall tests to make sure that your fall detector is working properly.
