Place the 3 pieces of stabilizing foam under the device (Pict. 6)

Position  the  device  at  the  selected  location,  making  sure  that  the  distance  between  the  probe  and  the 
edge of the coping is at least 0.2 in (Pict. 7).

Check the immersion depth. If your probe is immersed by more than 8.5 in. (+/-1 in.) (see §5.2), cut it 
carefully  using  a  hacksaw  (both  the  tube  and  the  flexible  tube  at  the  same  time)  to  obtain  a  proper 
immersion depth (Pict 8). If the water level has been deliberately lowered, suitable probe extenders are 
available from your retailer.

Your  device  is  in  OFF mode,  and  should  be  activated  for  the  installation  tests  by  moving  the  magnet 
over the swimmer symbol area.

You will hear 5 short beeps, the red indicator light flashes, you are in DISARMED mode.

Wait  for  the  automatic  switch  to  ARMED mode  (1  long  beep,  green  indicator  light  flashing)  before 
starting the tests.
