You can import
movies or sound
files into InDesign.
The Media panel
lets you apply
controller skins,
add navigation
points, and define
how the media
appears in your
final output.

panel displays

When you export a SWF
file from InDesign, you
can include the Page
Curl effect. This lets the
viewer drag pages as
though turning a
physical page.

Bookmarks tab in Acrobat or Adobe
Reader® software by using the Book-
marks panel (Window > Interac-
tive > Bookmarks) or by selecting the
Create PDF Bookmarks option when
generating your table of contents.

Interactive > Hyperlinks) lets you
create both hyperlinks and hyper-
linked cross-references (see “Cross-
references” on page 45). To make
a hyperlink, select text or an object,
and then choose New Hyperlink
from the Hyperlinks panel menu.
Movies and sound
You can easily import movies and
sounds into your InDesign docu-
ments using File > Place. You can
place video files in Flash Video for-
mat (FLV and F4V), H.264-encoded
files (such as MP4), and SWF files. You
can import audio files in MP3 format.
Media file types such as QuickTime
(MOV), AVI, and MPEG are supported
in exported interactive PDF files but
not in exported SWF or FLA files.
