Configuration Requirements for APMS
In order to setup an InstantWave High Speed Access Point Management System
(APMS) terminal, you need the following:

You need to complete the following steps to install the APMS tool to the PC:
step1. Assign an IP address to the PC and bind the TCP/IP protocol to the

Note: Step 1 is not required if the PC already has TCP/IP set up on the network
step3. Install the APMS package to the PC (see AP Management Software
Installation, page 10)
step4. Click Start/Programs/InstantWave AP/AP Management System and
you are ready to go
step5. Power on and configure the APs in sequence in the first time setup of a
multiple AP environment
Network Management Connection to the AP
To manage the wireless LAN with the Access Point Network Management tool
(APMS), we strongly recommend the System Administrator makes an APMS
connection to the AP through a wired Ethernet connection (UTP port).
