The Powerhorn PH7208 remote siren is a remote controlled siren with a piercing 110
decibel sound output. It receives signals over existing house wiring and responds to the
“All Lights On/All Units Off” flashing sequence from the SC9000 Home Security System,
or the SM10 Universal X-10 transmitter. The Powerhorn adds to any security system the
ability to trigger a remote siren without the need for any special wiring. You just plug
it in! Any security system which uses the SM10, to flash lights when the alarms trips, can
trigger the Powerhorn.
When used with an X-10 security system or the SM10, the Powerhorn will trip a few
seconds after the alarm trips and continues to sound until 4 seconds after the alarm
stops or is disarmed.
You can also trip the Powerhorn from any other X-10 controller, which is useful in
panic situations. It can be set to respond to any of the 256 X-10 codes available (16
House codes x 16 Unit Codes). You simply press All Lights On followed by All Units Off
repeatedly or press the unit code corresponding to the number set on the PH7208 then
press On, then Off repeatedly. This will trigger the Powerhorn after about two ON-OFF
sequences and will continue as long as you keep repeating the sequence. The siren will
shut off about 4 seconds after the last key is pressed.
