The new IBM System x3850 X6 and IBM System x3950 X6 Workload Optimized

Solutions for SAP HANA server models incorporate the sixth generation of IBM

enterprise X-Architecture (EXA) to help deliver better, more efficient business

results.

X6 systems are fast, agile, and resilient.

• Preconfigured workload optimized server models for SAP HANA applications for

128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB implementations.

• These models include the following software: IBM General Parallel File System

(GPFS) Single Server for x86 Integrated Offerings with three- year software

subscription and support. The SAP HANA software is included, but license is sold

separately by SAP.

• Intel Xeon E7-8880 v2 15C 2.5 GHz/8GTS 37.5 MB cache, with up to 1600 MHz

memory access, 60 cores per server deliver improved compute performance.

• SAP HANA preconfigured models are based on 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB DIMMs

with the capability to upgrade to 64 GB DIMMs. The base memory configurations

are 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. The server has a maximum capacity for

up to 6 TB of memory using 96x64 GB LRDIMMs providing maximum memory

availability and quickly scale to meet increased system demands.
