• Intel Xeon E7-8880 v2 15C 2.5 GHz/8GTS 37.5 MB cache, up to 1600 MHz

memory access, 120 cores per server delivers improved compute performance.

• SAP HANA preconfigured models are based on 16 GB and 32 GB DIMMs with the

capability to upgrade to 64 GB DIMMs. The base memory configurations are 512

GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. The system provides a maximum capacity for up to 12 TB of

memory using 192x64 GB LRDIMMs providing maximum memory availability and

quickly scale to meet increased system demands.

• Monolithic 8U, 8-socket design delivers cable-free scalability for increased

performance and higher reliability solutions; also allows easier management

through a single serial number, and a primary management module (with a

secondary IMM present).

highest IO bandwidth from a single server in the System x portfolio.

IBM GPFS on x86 Single Server for Integrated Offerings is included with selected

IBM SAP HANA models. Licenses for IBM GPFS on x86 Single Server Integrated

Offerings cannot be ordered independent of the selected hardware. Licenses for

offerings in this announcement include three years of Software Subscription and

Support. Software Subscription and Support, including Subscription and Support

renewals, are managed through Passport Advantage® or Passport Advantage

Express®.

After receipt of an order for an x3950 X6 Workload Optimized Solution for SAP HANA

model, the Business Partner or end-user client is required to register and accept

Passport Advantage or Passport Advantage Express terms and conditions associated

with IBM GPFS on x86 Single Server for Integrated Offerings.

If a new release of the offering in this announcement is made generally available

in Passport Advantage after the announcement of the offering in System x ordering

systems, clients with valid Software and Subscription contracts may elect to take

electronic delivery of the latest release.

During the registration process, the end-user client will be provided with a website

for the electronic download.

The GPFS on x86 Single Server for Integrated Offerings provides file system

capabilities for single-node integrated offerings so clients with highly available,

multi-node clustered scale-out configurations must also purchase the GPFS scale-out

product.

The SAP HANA software is included, but license is sold separately by SAP. SUSE
Linux

TM

 Enterprise Server for SAP applications or other SAP approved operating

system is not included with the SAP HANA Workload Optimized solution model and

must be sold as a separate part number with this server.
