  In case of damage caused by non-observance of these operating instructions, the

observance of safety instructions! Such circumstances will void the warranty!
•  Unauthorized modifications and/or alterations to the product are not permitted due to safety and
approval reasons (CE). Do not disassemble the product.
•  Have maintenance and repairs done by qualified personnel only.
•  The device is not a toy. Operate the product out of reach of children.
•  The product is intended for use only in indoor dry spaces, it may not become moist or wet.
•  When setting up the device, ensure that the cable does not get kinked or crushed.
•  Avoid the following adverse conditions at the location where the product is placed, and during
transport:
  -  wetness or high humidity
  -  cold or heat and direct sunlight
 -  dust or flammable gases, vapors or solvents
 -  severe vibration and blows of any kind
 -  strong magnet fields, such as near machines or speakers
•  Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The
condensation generated could destroy the product. 
 Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting and using it. This may take several
hours.
•  Do not leave packaging material unattended, as children could use it as a toy creating hazardous
situations.
Connection and operation
•  Choose a suitable place to set up the audio converter. Use a suitable pad to protect sensitive furni-
ture surfaces against scratching, spots or pressure marks when setting up the audio converter.
•  Connect both cinch sockets labeled „LINE OUT“ to the audio output of your device, i.e. amplifier.
 Red cinch socket = Right stereo signal („R“)
 White cinch socket = Left stereo signal („L“)
•  An optical TOSLINK socket (on the audio converter housing marked „OPTICAL IN“) is available as
a digital audio input. 
•  Using the provided USB cable, connect the audio converter‘s Mini-USB socket to a USB connec-
tion, i.e. on your monitor/TV or Blu-ray player.
 You can use an external power adapter that features a USB power socket (with output current of at
least 500 mA).
•  When the product is connected to the power supply, the LED next to the TOSLINK socket lights up
to indicate that the audio converter is operational.
•  Start your playback device so that a suitable signal is sent to the audio converter‘s digital audio
input.
 Then select the appropriate analog audio input, i.e. on your amplifier.

Troubleshooting
No sound
•  Check all cable and plug connections. Replace damaged cables.
•  Connect the audio converter‘s output (analog signal, line level) to an analog audio input with line
level (i.e. your amplifier‘s AUX-IN).
•  Make sure that the right input and/or output of all devices connected to the audio converter is
selected/activated.
The audio converter power LED does not light up
•  Check whether the audio converter‘s Mini-USB socket is connected to a USB connection, i.e. on
your monitor/TV or Blu-ray player, using the provided USB cable, and turn on all devices.
•  If necessary, use an external power adapter with USB power socket to power the audio converter.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product is maintenance-free, do not dismantle it. Have maintenance and repairs done by quali-
fied personnel only.
Unplug the product before cleaning.
Use a dry, soft and clean cloth for cleaning. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents as these may
lead to discoloration. To prevent scratch marks, do not apply too much force on the surface during
cleaning.
You can use a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner to easily remove any dust.
Disposal
 Do not dispose of the product with your household waste.
Please dispose of the device at the end of its service life in accordance with legal regula-
tions; e.g. return the device to a public collection point.
