Q: My router, hub, or switch has failed or is not available. How do I access
my data in the My Book World Edition?
A: Do the following:
1. Connect the My Book World Edition directly to the computer’s Ethernet port.
2. To connect to a shared folder on the My Book World Edition, right-click on the My
Network Places or Network Neighborhood icon on the desktop, then click
Map
Network Drive...
Type in the name of the My Book World Edition shared folder
(e.g., \\mybook world\public).
