Once the application’s initial configuration is completed, the application can either run
in demo mode to demonstrate all supported BACNet commands or in file transfer
mode to tunnel a file transfer over a BACNet tunnel.
For the file transfer mode: from the command line run
For the file transfer mode: from the command line run
runner.exe ts.py
, followed
by
runner.exe tc.py
. On the receiver side the file will be stored in the
out.txt
file.
The user may inspect the scripts and modify the settings as needed. Additional
information about the script format and commands is provided in Section
7 Home automation reference applications
There are six Home Automation (HA) reference applications corresponding to five
device types—dimmable switch, dimmable light, occupancy sensor, and thermostat—
more information is found further in this chapter.
At least one HA trust center device, one occupancy sensor, and one light device shall

Device
Description
Dimmable Switch
The On/Off Switch is capable of sending on, off, and
toggle commands to devices to switch them on or off.
Dimmable Light
The On/Off Light device is a light that can be switched on
and off.
Occupancy Sensor
The Occupancy Sensor device reports the occupancy
state of an area.
Remote Control
The Remote Control device is capable of controlling and
monitoring other devices.
Typically the Remote Control device is a handheld,
Typically the Remote Control device is a handheld,
battery powered device, that can control devices (for
example, turn a light on/off), monitor devices (for
example, read the status of a temperature sensor), or do
some user configuration (for example, change the
setpoint of a thermostat or a light sensor).
Thermostat
The Thermostat device can have either built-in or
separate sensors for temperature, humidity, or
occupancy. It allows the desired temperature to be set
either remotely or locally. The thermostat may send
heating and/or cooling requirement notifications to a
heating/cooling unit (for example, an indoor air handler)
or may include a mechanism to control a heating or
cooling unit directly.
Trust center
A dedicated device responsible for managing of network
and application link keys for joined HA devices.
Detailed specification for these and other HA devices can be found in ZigBee Home
The devices should be turned on in the following sequence:
1. Trust center
1. Trust center
2. Occupancy sensor
3. Dimmable light
4. Dimmable switch
